A parent or legal guardian must remain onsite during the entire lesson of their child. We provide a variety of seating options and complimentary Wi-Fi. Our goal is to give your child the best learning experience possible so we ask you to refrain from interrupting your child’s class. If you have questions or requests for the instructor please ask immediately post lesson or by emailing Kanata Splash Academy. A staff member will get back to you within 48-hours. 

If your child is not completely potty trained, your child must wear the Happy Nappy Duo™.  This is the only approved swim diaper that we allow in the pool for lessons. The Happy Nappy Duo™ is the most advanced reusable swim diaper in the world protecting your child, our instructors, and other swimmers. If there is an accident in the pool, the pool must be closed for 24 hours. The Happy Nappy Duo™ may be purchased from Amazon.ca. 

If Kanata Splash Academy staff have to cancel a lesson due to inclement weather (thunder, lightning, extreme heavy rain or hail) staff will notify you in-person (if a lesson is in progress) or by email/phone prior to the start of the lesson.

A minimum of 15 minutes with no inclement weather activity must pass before lessons can resume safely. A lesson is considered complete when 75% of the lesson (34 of the 45-minutes) has been achieved. Lessons that staff cancel or are less than 75% complete will be made up. 

Please do not schedule vacation or other activities during your registered swim course week and lesson times. Lessons are for the registered student and are not transferable. In the event of an unexpected illness that will result in a missed lesson, a minimum of  4-hours written notice by email is required.  Kanata Splash Academy will do its best  to arrange a make-up lesson. There are no refunds or credits provided for missed lessons/courses. 

If you need to cancel your swim course notify Kanata Splash Academy in writing by email. If you cancel 2-weeks prior to your course start date, you will receive a full refund, less a $25 administrative fee/per student/per session. If you cancel within  2-weeks of your course start date, you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel once the course has started there are no refunds.

Electronic payments are the only payment methods accepted by Kanata Splash Academy. We accept PayPal and Interac e-transfers. Cheques and cash are not accepted. Registration is not complete until payment in full is received.
